Subj: Woodstock Library Speedbumps - FW: Question From WordPress

Good Afternoon Mr. Harris,

Thank you for your comment. We are absolutely working on the speedbump situation at the Woodstock Public Library. You are not the only person who has expressed concern. They were put in because there were concerns about speeding in the parking lot from some patrons. But I feel pretty confident in saying that not all will stay – but I do not have specifics or a timeline at this moment. Your feedback is very helpful in getting this changed – so thank you for taking the time to send it in.

I will gladly follow up with you when I have more details. Please let me know if there is anything else I can in the meantime.

RE: Woodstock Library, 7735 Main Street Woodstock, GA 30188

I have been a patron of the Woodstock library for about 15 months.

Recently 'speed bumps' have been added to the parking lot of this library.

During what is usually a weekly visit I have never noticed any issue of patrons driving to fast in the parking area of this library.

The addition of these useless speed bumps was a mistake. It is the equivalent of a car dropping into a pot hole every time you go over one.

I have a relatively new 2016 Explorer and I object to having to go over 3-4 of these useless devices on each visit. I would also note that one of these bumps is a few feet past a sharp curve just in front of the library. How someone came up with the idea to put one a few feet past a sharp curve is unknown. Just how fast do you think someone is going when they are negotiating a 180 degree turn!

These foolish speed bumps should be removed and whoever came up with the stupid idea to waste taxpayer funds on them should have to pay for the project.

Let's get these removed ASAP.
